Hotpoint Dishwasher FDW85 Error Message AL10?

i have had three hotpoint dishwashers and AL10 is the heater element requires replacing.easy to change price is approx £40 and they last about 7/8 months.never buy a hotpoint again.Simon

Hi Kay, i have been further looking for info on my own and have found a good website which has posts on of people having fixed their machines and what to do.

I rang hotpoint and they told me that only an engineer could fix the problem, however, i have found information of a guy who has had similar experience with the instructions as to fix it.

It may be worth a go.

Hi, i have been on the hotpoint web site as my dishwasher is playing up and displaying error messages. I found this explanation for the AL10 error message;

Open/Short circuit fill valve traic - Book a service engineer.
