power cord removal from kirby g4?

Removethe plug cover (on the side of the machine) retaining screw, put a flat bladed screwdrive down the left hand side of the cover and lever right and back. Pull the plug from the machine. Remove the screws from the plastic top cover ( one on top that holds the cable support moulding and one from the rear above the drive foot pedal). Put a flat bladed screwdriver into the slot in the plastic top cover ( just above the on/off switch) and lever upwards. Job done.
