Mend VDO CDR500 Control Front Panel

Repair of volume control on VDO CDR500?

Following removal of the front panel of the radio as the volume on/off control ws not working, established that the volume control(miniature) needs replacing. Is it possible to either repair or can the front panel be purchased seperately, rather than having to replace the whole unit?
