how do I get the belt out of the powerhead in my Kenmore whispertone vacuum?

I can't get the powerhead apart to replace the belt and unjamthe powerbrush. can you help me?

To remove the belt....you first remove the cover on top where the light lense is only; it is about 3" by 9" it pops off with pressure applied to the 3" side. email me if you have questions rciot@hotmail.com There are then two long screws to be removed and then take a screw driver on the very bottom at each side where the rubber bumper goes around the bottom to release two plastic wedges.
