Mend Potterton EP2000 Central Heating Hot Water

my potterton ep2000 clicks when ch and hw on?

I can have hot water or central heating but not both - if i put them both on to 24 hrs the unit makes a clicking soung and the clock resets itself to 12:00 the same happens if i try to put one of them on once or twice daily

I have a similar fault on my Potterton EP2000 i.e. clicking when I have both CH and HW on at the same time, but OK when EITHER CH or HW is on. I am replacing the EP2000 today to correct EP2000 fault. The resetting of your timer is probably due to a "dead" battery. Try replacing it.
