Mend Potterton Puma 80E Boiler Locks Out Water

combi boiler locks out after using hot water?

i have a potterton puma 80e combi boiler.after running hot water and turning the tap off the boiler makes a loud noise as if over heating and the system locks out,red light comes on.press reset and it is fine.does not seem to play up on the central heating side.

d.h.w. flow switch may be sticking,causing the boiler to stay on after tap is turned off resulting in the boiler overheating and shutting down.....this happened to me,i removed,cleaned and setup the d.h.w. flow switch and has been ok since...hope this helps.

domestic hot water heat exchanger might be blocked with limescale.this in turn causes an overheat in the system.
