Mend Fisher and Paykel MW058K Washing Machine And Lid Switch

Fisher and Paykel MW058k - only works sometimes?

MW058K has recently had some problems. Tech came and fixed out of balance problem. Then when machine turned on, all lights on, can change settings but when I push start/pause - beep and red light at far right. Sometimes it will start if I change settings and sometimes it won't start. Tech replaced lid switch but this has not fixed the problem and he has gone awol! When machine works, continues to fill and spin slowly even when lid opened. Not sure this is right. Help!

Single red light at far right usually means there is a problem with the display circuit board communicating with the control module circuit board. This usually means one or the other is faulty & will need to be replaced. Strange it has happened after the Tech came & did the out of balance repair. Maybe he has not plugged them in correctly or may of done some damage when handling the boards. Either way, I would get him back to sort it out if you can find him as it may be expensive to repair.
