Mend Hotpoint WT540 Washing Machine Intermittent

spin fault?

seem to have an intermittent fault with hotpoint wt540,when it reaches the final spin in a program it just carries on rinsing & spinning.if the program is cancelled & the machine is switched to final spin only the same thing happens & it just spins for approx 10mins & then starts to fill up again to rinse
