Mend Hotpoint Ice Diamond Fridge Motor Stopped

is there a reset button on my hotpoint ice diamond larder fridge?

Motor has stopped running on my ice diamond fridge
larder is there a reset button anywhere or is it likely that the problem is more serious

A common fault on larder fridges is the thermostat. I just replaced one for my Mum, I paid a local guy £10 for the part (£15 on the internet). You can check if it is the thermostat by shorting out the wires that go to the thermostat - unplug before you start messing! If the motor runs with the wires shorted it IS the thermostat.
