Pilot light goes out?

Tried what was suggested by 'Peccavi' in lighting Potterton Flamingo 20-30
When releasing grey button pilot light goes out, gas flow stops.
Does the grey button need to be turned?

Will be the t/couple and NO twisting the valve shuts the pilot off.
