Mend Printer Paper Ink

Why doesn't my printer print?

It will flash lights like I have a paper jam. It does not have one . After I check put back on it tells me I am out of ink. I have 2 new cartriges I just put in. I installed it and re installed it as I am reinstalling it it tells me a warning that reads Unable to start application Java Virtual Machine cannot be loaded class not registered.

It always helps if you leave some hints as to what your machine is. I am suprised about the Java error though.
