Zafira heater blower motor?

Update. Since December 2015 there is a recall for this issue on the Zafira B (2005-2014) for all models without Climate Control in reaction to many fires caused by the blower system failing.
Contact a Vauxhall dealer to get it done. They will check the blower system, place a scuttle shield, replace the resistor and if necessary replace the blower motor, wiring harness and/or pollen filter.

Hi vincent here my zafira 2002 heater only works on setting 4 their is no power to settings 1,2,3 on 4 it blows well and great heat and new filter in why have i no power to the rest of the settings can you help me please thank you.

hello i have an vauxhall zafira 1.6 petrol 2006 and ive just replaced the motor fan and whats happing is the heart blower is not going to the windscreen at all windscreen is steaming up what could be the problem please help blody dam vauxhall :( nothing but trouble

Replaced the resistor pack - twice. Second time I replaced the pollen filter, and it has just gone again. Both times the new resistor pack has blown within a week. Guess it's the fan? Any other suggestions?

My copper thermal strip has sprung apart, can I solder the strip back down?
Also my blower motor stopped working, it appeared to be the copper braid leading to the bushes had rotted, new bushes on the way.

when i mess about with the wires on heater blower it works then when i turn it off again it does not work

When the blower will only work on position 4 it is nearly always the blower resistor pack.... thermal fuse blown. When the pollen filter gets dirty, less air flow, so the thermal fuse can blow at the higher temperature. Remove glove box and remove resistor pack from pollen filter housing. The resistor pack will have a copper strip/flat spring which is likely to have sprung apart as the solder joint melted and the copper strip sprung away. You can fix this by buying a 152 degree C thermal fuse from Maplins for about 80p and soldering in... bridging the gap where the copper strip used to be before it sprung. Don't overheat the thermal fuse when soldering it in or it will blow during installation!
Refit, replace new pollen filter, reinstall glove box ... and all should work again!

its the heater resistor thermal fuse, if its not a faulty fuse then either its a dirty pollen filter or a failing fan motor.

Sounds like you need to change pollen filter, about £20, under glove box. The fact that the blower works on position 4 would indicate the motor is fine .My blower was the same,with a new filter it works great.
