Mend Ford Transit Lights 2000

reversing lights and interior lghts?

i have a 2000 (w plate swb(80)) ford transit (2.5 non turbo) when engaging reverse gear my reversing lights do not engage can you help??? also my interior light for the back does not come on when i press the button on in the cab....is this a fault with the button???

some mechanic has told me the wires in the roof in the back they corrode so ive stripped the lot... and yes it just needed re-wiring... so ive done just that...(now they work fine)... regreatble he didn't know how to get the reversing lights to work
