e4 code on new world dishwasher 18 mths old?

e4 code is flashing, the machine beeps when turned on e4 appears and u cant choose a programme, machine sound as though it is filling, dispenser door doesnt open and then it just stops dead. have lost the manual.......

I had the same problem today. To overcome this, ensure the machine has no water in the bottom. Then tilt the machine about 45 degrees forward (and 45 degrees backwards, just in case) as this will reset the sensor. Machine should then work like a dream!!
