tried to flash box but just getting messages: the reciever was not detected firmware in boot mode click ok and a/c on reciever. waiting for response of your reciever
the only way i know to get it back is by reflashing it again , i had the same problem with a starview box 2 years ago , i put the wrong firmware into it , and it was stuck on standby , , but when i but the right firmware into it it worked right away , , so dont give up yet , go and get a memory stick and get firmware for all the models of the make you have and try them one at a time , just to get the box out of stand by , thats what i would mick

sorry Mick no luck, yes im using rs232 cable 9 pin female 2 female, lights on (vox max,) are red stand by and central 2 verticle green lights, the machine as never been flashed from buying it , but have had to input codes manually for sometime now, looking more like a door stop than ever...

what a time for a power cut! is there any power lights showing , on the box ? i still think that the wrong file went into it , because its not id the remote, and its stuck in stanby, were did you get the file from ? what web site , i still think that reflashing it is the only way to free it , what make is it , EUROVOX"

mick , a power cut happened the the box was locked in stand by after this , no functions from the remote control

if the box is locked in standby, thats is because the wrong firmwear file has being put into it , were did you get the file , from what web site?

yes to rs 232 cable 9 pin female
box is locked in stand by, and i beleive its blue by 12 vents counting, as you can see im a novice any more help much appreciated

i think that you have not clicked the com port off , COM 1 , COM 2 , COM 3 , or its looking at the wrong com port for the link up , to the box from the pc, are you useing rs232 cable 9 pin female cable , or a USB to 9pin converter? have you got the box powerd up , when it tell you too? what make of box are you flashing. mick
