how do i replace the alternator on my ford mk2 mondeo?

two 12ml spanners hold 1 on front 1 on back of altenator nut and bolt to undo.there should be 3 bolts to undo pull the plug out of altinator first.when loose push up and remove fan belt.when you fit the new one you must put a bar/big screw driver beetween altenator and engine so you can pull down alternator so fan belt is tight pull and tighten at the same time hope this helps

Undo mounting bolts, disconnect wires to unit, take off. Put new unit on, reconnect wires to it.
