auger replacement for mtd 21 inch snowblower?

I ordered a new auger and im removing the old auger but im stuck on how to remove the side that the belt wheel attaches to the auger and cannot get it off, is there a easy way of getting this off? Please i need your help.......i just don't see a easy way but im sure there is.......Thank you.......model# mtd31ae160-062....i believe its a 2004 model
