Crackly CD Player?

When I rev the car to more than 2100 ppm the radio or cd I'm listening to crackles. When the clutch is depressed, the problem goes away.
The problem disappears after about 5 minutes of driving.
Strange huh?!
Is this a problem with connections or could it be an electrical fault with the car?

sorry, that rpm, I'm doing my chemistry homework at the same time as this, ppm is "parts per million" and nothing to do with stereos
