yes there is a way of getting rid of... although safety blah blah blah. enough of the advisory sh*t.
under the drivers seat you will find a plastic connector with 2 wires going into it (i think) it is usually clipped to the side of the seat underneath.
If you put the keys into the ignition and put it on the first turn (accessory) then unconnect and reconnect this connector 3 times turn off ignition then back on and (hopefully hey presto it's off
