sorry about that james , i had to go out , the step on my one is showing 8 ,, but i never had to go near that , . all you have to make sure in there is that its scanning the wavelenth , from 100mzh to 870 mzh, and the provider is the right one , , and the symbol rate is 6887, for ntl , and the codes are up to date ,but keep away form factory settings , just recheck all that and scannagain , it will take 10min , to scann from 100mzh to 870mzh , because the raido stations are down in the low band , mick 23.08 pm

when i press yellow 4powerscan. 8boxes appear mode, start, stop, 4x symb rate and step
is mode to be norm or full
is step to be 6,7 or 8

can you check if the codes have changed again , tonight , if they have thats the problem , now , you micht have to put new ones in again, i cant tell because im in dublin ,

just check that the provider , ntl is showing in the box before you scann , , it might be showing tellywest , mick 21 12 pm

ok do a powerscann , to do that go to were you check the the symbol rate , like i told you , when you get into that window press the yellow buton , a new window open,in that window (full powerscann) you will see at the top , of that box , check that is is showing , in the start box 100mzh and in the stop box 870mzh , if its showing a different symbol rate there dont worry about it , just do the scan as it tells you , ill check back mick 19.44 pm

ok i just wanted to see if you changed the symbol rate for ntl , it should be ( 6887 ) how to check is ,, press menu, go to (installation) then down to (USER INSTALLATION) press ok" it will ask you for pin number , type in 0000 , now in the new window that comes up , look at symbol rate, is it showing 6887, if not change it to with your remote , just type it over the number thats there , try that first , ill check back , 19.20 pm
