How can i reset the remote central locking in my S reg clio?

I had this problem after I had my car MOTd - for some reason they had disconnected the battery, then refused anything to do with it. They're R A Autos KY11 9JN if you want to avoid them.
Anyway - got this advice that worked for me.
Ignition 'off', disconnect the battery +ve lead (should be thumbscrew fixing). Ignition 'on' (2 clicks) carefully reconnect the +ve terminal. Switch off ignition, close door, try the key fob locking. Good luck - hope you have the same sucess.
