How can I fix my Ravenheat boiler ?

My Ravenheat boiler is occasionaly looseing pressure.
Each time the pressure drops water appears to have escaped from the auto air vent at the top of the boiler.
If I turn down the themostat on the boiler for the heating the problem does not occur.
Do I need to replace this air vent?

new installation. ravenheat he primary runs ok for 30 mins then when switched off for whatever reason room stat ect it will only stay lit for 5 seconds and keeps lighting on and off till the red light comes on and switches of.[ new boiler and control system old pipes and rads just boiler change
