engine warning light and lack of power ford fiesta mk6?
Hi
Got into my car this morning after a weeks holiday with the car been un used. After 5 mins or so of driving i noticed when i accelerated the car juddered and the engine warning light appeared, flashing. Occasionally the light will stay on without flashing, then start flashing again randomly. The car continues to stutter on acceleration and there is a obvious lack of power, which flat out struggles to get over 70 mph
im suffering the same problem looked inside and the heads rusty as, strange thing is ive recently replaced coil, plugs and leads to no avail, lots of people saying its to do with the water seeping through the washer jets in the bonnet
Waiting for my error code reader to be delivered so that i can know for sure what the deal is.

i have the same problem, its caused by water getting into the sparkplugs, i replaced the plugs and got rid of the water, i also had further problems so replaced the leads which seemed to the job...

I had the same problem and it was water coming in from the washer jets. Ford said they do supply an upgrade but i just tried to seal it myself. no problems yet.

Hi I had a similar problem to what you are describing with my fiesta. It turned out to be water around the spark plugs. Ive had this problem a couple of times since and can't seem to find the source of the water, as I don't appear to be losing any. After replacing the spark plugs it seems to run ok.
