Ford Mondeo 1999 veers to right under acceleration?

The following is from my manual on Mondeo 93-1999 K-T

Vehicle pulls to one side.

LEGEND.........SC = SELF CHECK GJ = GARAGE JOB
Check for...
Defective or worn tyre [SC]
Check if ......
Tyre pressure low on one side of car [SC]
Check for......
Excessive wear in suspension or steering components [GJ]

You can get an idea on steering wear by setting the wheels straight and standing outside the car and gently turning the steeing wheel roughly gauging how far the steering wheel moves before the road wheel moves. Do same for other side but this doesn't prove what is worn excessive.

Check for....
Incorrect front wheel alignment [ GJ ]
Check if......
Front subframe out of alignment [ GJ ]
Check for.......
Accident damage to steering or suspension
components [ GJ]

Before diagnosing the suspension or steering Faults be sure the trouble is not due to incorrect tyre pressure, mixture of tyre types, worn tyres, or binding brakes. The alignment of the front suspension is also important - if the vehicle pulls to one side or exhibits abnormal front tyre wear, it may be worth having the subframe alignment checked out by a Ford dealer, in addition to the more usual checks.

My guess is wheel alignment is out.

Tyre wear
Shoulder of tyre [edge section of tread] worn on one edge.cause is underinflation. incorrect wheel camber [wear on one side] . Repair or renew suspencsion parts.
Hard cornering:-Reduce speed on cornering.

Centre wear; tyre tread centre worn
cause.Over inflation will cause rapid wear of the centre.

the above for all wheels.

Front tyres: Uneven wear
cause: Wheel alignment or tracking as it's commonly know as.
most garages can re-set tracking for a modest charge.
