A01 lockout (flame failure)
Burner lights for 2 seconds. It will try 3x then lockout.

Try removing the air inlet manifold condensate build up over night, water seeps into the burner (water / gas no flame)
Air inlet --- no condensate trap.
Ionisation probe --- lower section of burner (no flame)

This is an old forum question but i have never seen this answer...

Replace the ionisation probe. Common fault on these.

I am in the same situation with lockouts and reset on a 4 year old Powermax HE boiler. Problem started early last year but I have now sent a mail to the chief executive of Potterton, Mr Martyn.Coffey at baxigroup.com

My Powermax 115 is 2.5 years old. The analogue pressure meter registers 2bar but the boiler shows A15 (low pressure) fault. I suspect the red Huba pressure transducer inside the boiler. I have taken the connector off and replaced it thinking that there might be dirt on the connections but it makes no difference. The Potterton engineer suggested there were voltages that could be measured to check this transducer but would not tell me where I should measure (because I am not "GasSafe" registered). Does anybody know where to check the voltages or indeed how difficult or expensive it is to replace the transducer?

Have you fixed it yet? - I have the same problem

I replaced the pressure switch but still had lockouts on same codes.
It turned out to be a blockage in the flexi hose into the expansion vessel - I poked it out with a small screwdriver.
Since then - hey presto- no lockout and pressure readings are stable.
The hose has a very small internel diameter, but even so it shouldn`t have blocked up since the anti scale treatment had been added.

Hi Mr Clark,
have you sorted it out yet and if so what was it?
I have the same bolier, 3 years old and it has been very good. Lately however, I have been having lockout fault codes A15 (low pressure) and (E01) high pressure. I`ve checked the expansion vessel and it`s held 16Psi for the last 12 months. This is despite the manual guage reading 1.5 Bar. I reckon I need a new pressure sensor (red "Huba" type). It`s had anti scale treatment from new.
If this rings any bells with anyone else, please reply.
I`ll change the sensor anyway and report what happens as it doesn`t look too expensive

prblem is ignition failure, this could be due to a number of different faults. firstly establish that you have the correct working gas pressure at the appliance ,once it has been established that it is correct, check the ignition spark is correct, check for sticking gas valve.
