I had the same problem and found the belt off the plastic pulley (next to the motor) because the bearing on the plastic pulley were worn out. I purchased the pulley for a store (espares) on the net and fixed the problem for £13 + my time - 20 min job tops - regards

if you can unscrew the rear panel(usually as large as the machine held on with torx star head screws)you will probably find the belt that drives the drum, has either worn out and fell off or has snapped ,the worst case it's the motor that's gone for a burton, MAKE SURE THE APPLIANCE IS UNPLUGGED BEFORE REMOVING ANY PANELS PLEASE !!!
