How can I programme the dept and then set the price?

I have followed the instructions in the manual by entering the option value, subtotal etc but it does not work - it comes up with an error message Sam 4s 4615

I wanted to program each dept such as "cold bev", "hot Bev" but to be open keys. The first 5 depts keys do not work. Don't know how to program. I also cannot set up secret codes for clerks.
