Mend Hotpoint WM22 Washing Machine Repair Drum

Hotpoint Aquarius 1000 Delux WM22 Washing Machine drum not rotating?

Doas anyone know how can I fix this problem. My hotpoint washing machine drum is not rotating. Everything else seems to be running fine. It completes all of the program but the drum does not move a bit. I think its the belt. But dont know how to fix it ot where to buy a belt. I can open the machine and am good at all sorts of DIY. So help me out here folks.

I had the same thing recently and it was worn carbon brushes in the motor.

I have the same problem but I have taken the lid off and its not the belt. I am suspecting I need to replace the brushes at the moment. Kevin

you can find the belts at theservicecentre.co.uk delivery is usually very quick +/- £14-£16 p&p incl

You first need to prove the belt is broken, so remove the back and
check it, if it needs replacing, you will need to slacken off the belt pulley motor to fit a new one. Not sure where you could buy one
but try hotpoint first, for info and suppliers near where you live.
