sky+ box stuck on stand by?

Mine is stuck on stand by and i followed this instruction and that didn't work what next ?

Thanks so much for your useful tips. After a full afternoon trying everything, your instructions worked! This box stopped working some months ago, we have another the same, which to date is okay(!) so this box is no longer registered to our viewing card. Got as far as the lights flashing etc., any tips on the procedure to get it off standby without aerial? Your time is greatly appreciated.

You can peform a system update to your box by taking out the power lead from behind and holding down the backup button located at the front of the box, keep holding the button and reinsert the power lead still holding the backup button after about 10-20 seconds a few of the lights on the front will come on, release the button, and on your TV screen you will see that the box is performing a system update it lasts upto 10mins this usually fixes the problem.
