heating element for washing which side is live?

can any one help i have purched a new heating element for my washing machine there is two terminals to it one white one blue which one dose the live lead connect to

With an element it is ok to put the wires either way. It will work ok. You should also have an earth tab connected to the metal base of the element. Make sure the green wire goes back on here and not the blue or white one.
