HOW TO RESET IMOBILISER FOR ROVER 214i?

Disconnect car battery then remove the key fob battery and press the fob buttons with the battery removed. this will remove any residual charge in the fob. Refit fob battery and reconnect car battery and then press 4x left fob button and then 4x right fob button then 4x left fob button.It should start working during the presses. If this doesn't work put ignition on and press fob buttons with ignition on. If still not working inspect the solder where the battery support solders to the circuit board in the key fob, done loads of these where they are cracked. Just resolder and follow the above procedure. Good luck. Geoff
