power socket?

Hi JD,
Have you tried another lead? Alternatively you
may have broken the solder track on the PCB with
wiggling it about.If so you need to get someone who
is into electronics as precautions need to be taken to
prevent static discharge damage while the track is resoldered.

Most probable cause...

Broken wire in AC adaptor - get a new one - continual flexing and strain on the wires causes them to eventually snap inside the insulation - make end to end contact for a while and then give up completely.

Depending on the way you use it, the break will be close to one end of the DC cable. You may even be able to feel it with your fingers.
