I have a 10yr John Deere LTR 166 Ride on mower which is losing its drive power. The belt has been renewed & I believe it is now the hydrostatic pump that is weak. Does anyone have any details on how to change this & possible price for a new or recon unit? Any information would be much appreciated on the practicalities of changing the pump. Thanks.
I assume you've checked the Hydrostatic fluid levels??? Low levels can be responsible for the symptoms you are describing. A whole lot cheaper than a pump...
