i have just had the garage on and he said my cross member was very badly corroded and i would need it replaced or the gear box would fall out but he said it could cost £600, does that sound right my car is an 02 nissan almera, is it worth it?

ive had it done on my as was badly rusted half mines was missing and my engine was only held in by couple ov bolts and could ov fell out because ov it defo replace if needed cost about £100 ish for part and bout £150 to be fitted
