Pilot light on my boiler will not stay lit?

When I light the pilot and hold the button in for 1 min and release it goes out it seems I am getting gas to the pilot light but not the burner I took the gas bar off and checked for blockage it appears OK I am a contractor and I follow safety measures I just cant afford to pay a plumber and am hoping I can buy a part and install it myself

Sounds like your thermocoupling has failed..You need a corgi fitter to do this to keep within the law

A reasonable first step is to check the thermocouple. It could be a simple as needing a clean. They are not expensive anyway.
