Mend Singer 7422 Help Machine Unused

Repair to Singer 7422?

Hi Ken,
Thanks for your help. I bought my machine on ebay, it is obviously brand new and unused although I suspect the seller may have had it in the box for approx 8 months without using it - hence the possible lack of oil you suggest. I really do not want to return the machine as it is great but do you have any idea how much it may cost to get the bobbin winding problem fixed? Really appreciate any advice. Thanks again.

Hello Den,
The annoying part is that the winder is so easy to fix, the problem is getting the body apart to get to it, if you can undo the screws on the back of the machine and try and feel for the plastic clips that just lock the body together you can slide a thin knife in to prise the body apart, worst design ever was to make a two piece body machine.
