how can I fix my strimmer -JCB Model M25?

hey, can be two things, could be the clutch but doubt tht if uv used it a few times, sounds like the drive shaft has broke. can buy replacements depends on machine on how much it is, could be £10 to £50.
to find out if it is--- there should be 3or4 screw/bolts where the shaft comes out the engine take them of and the engine should come apart from the shaft. the shaft should slide out inspect the shaft a dont no what kind of head is got but am guessing its a flexable shaft.
