What is wrong with my ritetemp, propane, freestanding stove?

We have a Ritetemp free standing artificial log burning stove, model #RTL300TQ, serial #RTO3082141. When it is time for it to relight, the gas comes out and the igniter clicks, but it takes several seconds to combust creating a small explosion out the front of the stove. Repairmen for propane stoves in this area are nonexistent. What do we do?
