i was vaccuming one day and it got my daughter's shoe lace, i pulled it out, but ever since then, the is no suction on the bottom of the vaccum, i checked all the hoses and filters, but i get nothing still. i don't have owner's manual, so i can't really tell if there is a belt to that vaccum

Yes, there is a belt on this model. It is easy to change. Simply remove the two screws from the top cover of the nozzle to access the roller brush area. It is easier to put the belt on the motor shaft first and then the roller brush. This way you can use the roller brush to help stretch the belt into position. You might also want to clean out the endcaps of the roller brush while you have it out. Dirt and hair tend to gather there. Jolly Good Eh?
