why does my powder drawer retain water on Zanussi aquacycle 1000?

After each wash the section where the fabric conditioner goes remains full of water. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Model: Zanuassi aquacycle 1000.

I have thoroughly cleaned the soap drawer and internal pipes with no luck. Any more suggestions???

have you removed and thoroughly cleaned the soap drawer of congealed soap? If you have then look into the pipe behind the soap drawer as soap can also congeal there.
