Mend Lexmark 1270 Laptop Plugged Press

My lexmark 1270 won't scan, why?

I've just installed my old lexmark printer/scanner to a new laptop, it says it has installed successfully and it recognises it when plugged in but when i press the scan button it doesn't do anything at all.

First u can check the compatability and then un-install the old one and install again lexman*1270 software by CD ,,,
