How can I get pilot light on on my baxi bermuda back boiler?

The pilot light on the old baxi bermuda back boiler I have went out and I have tried repeatedly to ignite. Held in grey knob and simultaneously pressed black ignite button but only see a spark. The flame did come on but for a few seconds only. Tried with heating system switched on and switched off. Help!!
