How do I change a dimmer to a light switch?

My dimmer switch has broken and I need to work in that room. I have a spare light switch but not packaging for it, so I don't know how to attach the wires. I have taken off the old dimmer and I have a green wire, a red wire and a black wire.

The light switch on the back has L1 (but also has COM written above it), L2 (with 1 way written underneath it) and L3.

What wire goes where?

as far as im aware as a electrian i will try and help you. if you are only switching one switch to one room, then dead simple. connect your positive ( use a multimeter) this is generally red or brown depending when your house was rewired. once you know which is positive connect that that two com. then connect the black or blue to l1. if there is a copper wire there you need to put a earth sleeve over the bare cable and coonect it to the lug which stands generally away some where on the switch ifs its a metal switch. ifs its a plastic switch you dont dont need to connect it to the switch but still put the sleeve on so it doesnt short when you screw th switch back to the wall. after you have done this turn your mcb back on or conncet your fuse carridge back in and turn the power on. this should work if not consult a qualifided sparky.
hope that helped

Connect Red and Black to L1 & L2 - The Green is an earth - there should be an earth connection at the back of the wall box - Do not connect Green to the switch.

Take care with electricity - your question suggests that you really don't understand it - might a neighbour help you out?
