my whirlpool fridge/freezer display?

My display panel only shows the word sense and F99%, it won't show me temperatures or anything else and the buttons don't do anything! What do I do? I turned it off for a few hours and now it's back on but hasn't changed!

My whirlpool side by side, kept flashing and clicking, but has now stopped - the fan has stopped and the motor isn't running? Has it died or can we revive!! Please help

Hi,

I have similar problems with side by side fridge/freezer. It has just started showing on freezer temp panel -- & warning light flasing & blleping.
Any help/advice?

Have had the above faults and the an engineer came and replace the board at the back, cost a small fortune.
Now the water has stopped and the water is not getting to the ice box, have a flashing "F" anyone had the same problem?

My fridge had the problem with the display flashing on the front which is apparently common as well. I took out the front PCB and found it was a crap design on the mains-derived 5V regulator which was failing to provide enough current for the electronics. I modified it and it's been fine. Now a year later it's started clicking at the back so I think it's a similar problem on the rear PCB. I'm afraid it's just a cheap and nasty electronic design on the control boards designed to keep the component count down. For another few pence they could have made it reliable but everything's made down to a price. Don't buy another, I won't...

mine freezer does the same. having read other posts it seems a common fault with the front pcb whirlpool use. mine is only 2 yrs old. im not an engineer but it was easy to take the door off and remove the facia and take out the pcb to inspect. i then found qer_ltd on ebay who undertake to repair the board with a 12 month guarantee for just a tad below £50. now thats better than £120 part + £80 enginers time to fix. i was going to scrap the freezer and buy a different make. i havent recieved the repair back yet but have every confiodence it will work - hope this helps

It is a common problem on the Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer. I have been told to buy 2 new PCBs at £200 each or remve them and replace the resistors, these are available from Maplins approx £15 the lot.
