This happened to me a few days ago. I squeezed grease into the new one. Don't know whether this will help though.

Is there any thing you can do to prevent super glue being put in to a house lock. I had super glue put in my lock last night and had to get a new lock fitted. I have new neighbours and suspect it was them how can i prevent this happening again - are there lock covers you can fit. please help.

There is a product from hardware stores that dissolves superglue, simply superglue remover. It doesn't matter how good this stuff is though I would still change the lock as a residue is often left and may cause problems in the future.

Might need a new barrel if its the yale type they are easy to replace and dont cost much from b & q or the likes.
