Mend Ford Fiesta LX (2003) Bonnet

Can't get the bonnet open ?

I have a Ford Fiest (2003) LX and the bonnet catch at the bottom paasenger door side won't open it. I have also tried pulling the tab just under the bonnet but that won't pull either.

Hopefully the cable hasn't snapped,anyway have someone pull the lever, hold it in the open position while you push down on the bonnet above the catch, keep pushing down and pulling up and hopefully it will release,if it opens spray the whole lot with plenty of WD40.Good luck.
