I did this repair today. I took the drive sprocket & drum assembley off but this may have NOT been neccessary. I would try the steps below FIRST.
I removed the three screws which attach the handle to the saw body. These are located on the right side of the saw (looking foward or towards the front of the saw). They are located under 3 black plastic plugs which pry out. It is not necessary to detach the handle entirely.
Once the handle is loose, turn the saw on its side so you can view the bottom of it. You'll see the white plastic oil pump mechanism. I removed it carefully w/pliers.
Once this was done, I sprayed compressed air into the oil port which leads to the oil resovoir/tank (your oil tank should be drained entirely before doing this) and into the bottom of the hole which is at the base of the oil drive mechanism (this will look like a silver metal threaded insert).
In my case, I think I had sawdust which was lodged in the oil port & the compressed air cleared this.
