Mend Tap Kitchen Turn

Banging Pipes?

I have had a new tap fitting fitted in my kitchen tap. Now when I turn the tap ON the banging starts. Can I solve this myself or do I need to call the plumber back?

The noise is called "water hammer" poss main stop cock is problem, depends where the noise is coming from, best to get the plumber back to sort it
