how to fix heater problem on ford fiesta. only blows cold air?

the fiesta is a t-reg zetec so would this be the type of fiesta with the valve by the window wipers inside engin bay? any information most greatfull

Hi, Mikes answer is only correct if your Fiesta is a MK3 or earlier as the MK4 and later the heater valve is electrically operated, and these are mounted on the scuttle panel between the engine bay and the base of the windscreen, it is a common failure and replacement valve is around £25

dryden the control valve may be sticking it is opened by a wire pull from the control inside the veehicle and is situated near the heater rad in the engine bay or alternately it may be that the thermostat needs replacing on the heater pipes comming from the engine head and shuld be done really by a mech.
