Mend Diplomat PA5GIC Gas Hob Ignition Cooker

how can I fix my gas hob?DIPLOMAT PA5GIC CODE:ADP1107 ?

After cleaning my hob today, whenever I switch on the ignitor (an electric switch on the wall) the ignition spark to the centre hob ring is continuously sparking and will only stop sparking when the power to it is switched off. Have I caused this by cleaning it? possibly getting water into the works?

Hi Jean, yes possibly some water has got into the ignition unit.This will have to be replaced by a Corgi engineer.I expect the cost to be about £105 inc fitting and vat.All the best.
